I had a client some years ago that drove herself insane trying to get all the ads she ran in about ten different publications to all look the same. It was endless amounts of back and forth - move the logo a little more to the left - and - use this font- with a fax from another publication attatched to it. It equaled to about two weeks a month of what had to be absolute frustration for her.
I know it was absolute frustration for the artists at those 10 different publications. We all have our own ideas of what looks good, what will work for the client, and each publication had different qualifying levels of skills - what one newbie would do with her ad thinking it looked "cool," no other artist with more than 1 year experience would even consider.
